“THE MARKETPLACE CONCEPT”

In REAL WORLD science is less about facts and knowledge and more about devising practical solutions that are efficient as well as cost effective. At Iken Scientifica workshop children are prepared to face THE REAL WORLD through an interesting game like setup of marketplace scenario. Under this setup a child is provided with a student kit that consists of resources in the form of junk material, design components, an inventor’s manual as a guidebook and a compilation of case studies and worksheets called i-Invent. The children are first introduced to a problem statement and underlying concepts. Then using the guided design approach they are required to design a solution to the given problem statement. The material provided to them is assigned value in terms of ken pricing to asses the value of the model made.
